Alive and Well
I can’t believe that you’re no longer here,
That you’re gone when you were so near,
And all those thoughts I can’t keep to myself,
My precious memories they’re my only wealth,

Why didn’t I see the single magpie on the lawn?
Want answers to questions, between two worlds I’m torn,
I’m blaming those and them for what went wrong,
This hollowness of mine it feels so strong,
Where you sat there’s now an empty chair,
If alive and well I’d see you there,
Heavy heart of mine will feel light in time,
I wish you were alive and well,
Looking back over the years gone by,
Still got no answers to that question of why,
But now I talk to you as if you’re by my side,
I feel more confident with you as my guide,
Os byw ac ia
Where you sat there’s now an empty chair,
If alive and well I’d see you there,
Heavy heart of mine will feel light in time,
I wish you were alive and well,
My memories of you they are music to my ears,
They give me purpose for the rest of my years,
Thanks for everything you ever taught to me,
Without your guidance where would I be?
Os byw ac ia
Where you sat there’s now an empty chair,
If alive and well I’d see you there,
Heavy heart of mine will feel light in time,
I wish you were alive and well,
I realise now just how much you cared,
If alive and well I’d see you there,
Heavy heart of mine does feel light in time,
I’ll remember you alive and well.

A very personal and "from the heart" release. Beautifully recorded with vibes of meditation. Mesmerising - great production too. Very unique. Nothing to compare it with. Ra Rising
Billed as the masters of symphonic prog this album is an interesting of styles and influences. Folky in parts, rocky in others.
Vocals are good and male for a change. Both lyrics and music are involving and all in all this album is a good listen.
I will be looking at The Gift's other offerings. Russell Whyman
When you like your prog to be more beautiful and/or accessible than prog-proggy, than this is for you! Melodic as hell and yes, Peter Falconer is quite a singer! That wouldn't go half the way without the solid songs of Pat Sanders. A great combination of skills ;-) Carsten Pieper
